WALLA WALLA Kendsey Hill went 4-for-5 with a double and two RBIs to lead Walla Walla to a 10-8 victory Saturday over Richland in the 4A district championship game.
The game was tied at 8-8 after six innings, and the Blue Devils took the lead in the top of the seventh with a pair of runs.
Both team advance to the regional tournament next Saturday at Columbia Playfields in Richland.
Walla Walla takes on Central Valley at noon, in the District 5/8 title game, with the winner advancing to state.
Richland plays Mead at noon in an elimination game.
The loser of the Wa-Hi-Central Valley game and the winner of the Richland-Mead game will play for the second seed to state.
Kayla Andrews led the Bombers at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double and four RBIs April Utecht added a triple and two RBIs.
Andrews also pitched the final 21⁄3 innings of the game.

Walla Walla 11, Chiawana 4: Jordy Storms solo home run in the bottom of the sixth inning helped the host Blue Devils pull away and put an end to Chiawanas season.
We spotted them three runs in the first, Riverhawks coach Paul Antonovich said. It was close until the sixth and they exploded in that inning and got us. We were playing pretty well.
Wa-Hi had a 6-4 lead going into the bottom of the sixth and put five runs on the board to secure the win and advance.
The Riverhawks, who got two RBIs from Monique Moldonado, finished the season at 10-10.
