Franklin PUD warns customers of phone scam

By the Tri-City HeraldMay 11, 2013

Franklin PUD recently issued a warning to customers who may be targeted by a telephone scam.

Customers have received collection calls from individuals claiming to work for the PUD, saying that they are past due on their bills and will have their power shut off.

These calls are not legitimate, the utility said.

The PUD reminds customers that it does not solicit customers by phone for payment.
