Thankful Thursday: Richland Players' production a golden opportunity

May 9, 2013

Golden opportunity

Only one huge word about the Richland Players' current production of On Golden Pond. Wow!

The actors, lighting, sound and loons all come together in a perfect harmony of family, seasons, beginnings, endings, laughter, hurt, forgiveness and new life.

The set will make you want to crawl up on stage and look out of the windows at the sunlit lake and loons singing their song. Or perhaps sit in front of the big rock hearth and warm yourself by the fireplace.

If you haven't seen this production, get your tickets. The actors are beyond amazing. You will laugh a lot. You will cry (men, maybe just a sniffle). You will walk away feeling uplifted and believing in the resiliency of the human spirit.

No offense to Katherine Hepburn and Henry Fonda - but in this viewer's opinion, they don't hold a candle to the actors in this production. Showtimes and tickets are available on the internet at
