Two Kennewick people injured when car hits embankment near Pomeroy

— Two Kennewick people were injured Wednesday morning when their SUV hit an embankment near Pomeroy, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Kevin Obrien, 64, and his passenger, Linda Obrien, 64, were driving on Highway 12 when their GMC Terrain went off the road and hit the embankment, according to WSP.

Both Obriens were taken to St. Joseph Hospital and their conditions were not immediately available.

The cause of the collision is under investigation, according to WSP.
