New doctor joins KGH gastroenterology clinic

Dr. Stacy Tong has joined Dr. Juergen Mueller and Kim Larson, ARNP, at Kennewick General Hospital’s gastroenterology clinic at 7211 W. Deschutes Ave., Suite D-101.

Tong will provide gastroenterology services, including colon cancer screening, colonoscopy and upper endoscopy, and will diagnose and treat acute and chronic cases of acid reflux/heartburn, ulcers, rectal bleeding, inflammatory bowel disease, diarrhea, constipation and liver disease, a news release said.

Tong, who previously worked for Kadlec Clinics, attended medical school at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed an internship and residency at University of Chicago Hospitals, the news release said.

Before coming to the Tri-Cities, she completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, the release said.

Tong is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the Washington State Medical Association, and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine for both internal medicine and gastroenterology, the news release said.
