Deadline Wednesday for 1-mile walk May 18

— A family festival and one-mile walk put on by Pregnancy Care Services is planned May 18 at Raley Park in Pendleton.

Mayfest runs from 9 a.m. to noon with games, prizes, a bounce house and scavenger hunt. The festival is followed by the annual Walk for Life. There will be a free BBQ for participants. People are asked to register by Wednesday.

The nonprofit Pregnancy Care Services, which is in Pendleton and Hermiston, provides free counseling, pregnancy tests, referrals, education and a post-abortion healing ministry, a news release said.
