Fast Focus: What would you like to see in a Tri-Cities aquatics center? Lots of fun attractions

May 5, 2013

Our Tri-City aquatics center should at least have the features that the city-owned Surf'n Slide Water Park in Moses Lake has (city population 20,000).

Those amenities are: a beach-like sloped entry, slides, spray features, a lazy river, diving boards, a 50-meter competition pool, a Flow Rider and picnic areas with concessions.

In addition we should include a warm water therapy pool, more exciting slides like a Master Blaster, a Double Barrel Drop or a Summit Plummet. Why not rope swings and zip lines and an over-the-water climbing wall?

Make family and individual season passes available that are good at a VIP entrance during busy days.

Something like this is way past due.
