Digital Bookmobile tour in Richland Wednesday

April 29, 2013

The Digital Bookmobile National Tour will stop Wednesday at the Richland Public Library, showcasing the local library’s free eBook download service. The event runs from noon to 6 p.m.

The digital bookmobile has broadband internet-connected PCs, high definition monitors, sound systems and an array of portable media players, a news release said.

Readers will learn to download eBooks from the library and can use a “gadget gallery” to test out devices that are compatible with the system, the release said.

The first 100 visitors will receive a prize. Giveaways are planned throughout the day.

To access the library’s digital collection, go to and click on “iLibrary.”

The library is at 955 Northgate Drive.
