Upcoming seminars on homeschooling set

Three upcoming seminars are being held on homeschooling.

w Home Ed Connections is sponsoring a "Homeschool Information Night."

From 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, participants can learn more about homeschooling.

Topics of discussion include transitioning to homeschooling and taking charge of education.

The free event will be held at the Mid-Columbia Libraries' branch at 1620 S. Union St., Kennewick.

w A class called "Introduction to Homeschooling," will be from 9 a.m. to noon May 18.

w The second seminar, "Homeschooling High School," will be from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. May 18.

The seminars will be led by Janice Hedin. Both seminars will be at 6095 W. Van Giesen St., West Richland.

Cost is $40 for one seminar and $70 for both seminars.
