Kennewick police are searching for two women who passed counterfeit $100 bills at the Kennewick Walmart on April 25.

Mike Blatman with the Kennewick Police Department wrote in a news release that the bills were “washed” $5 notes that had been reprinted as $100s. The security measures embedded in the paper match those of a $5 bill, he said.

Anyone with information on the two women is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Tri-Cities, 586-8477 or 800-222-8477. Or go to www.tricitiescrimestoppers.org.
