Letter: Mormon women pray and lead

April 29, 2013

On April 7 the Herald printed an article concerning a woman praying for the first time in a Mormon General Conference. Really, that was the best you could do? The feminists won nothing. 1) The church does not give into special interest group pressure. 2) The majority of the women, in fact members in general, probably didn’t even notice this event. Why? because women regularily pray , teach, speak, conduct meetings and lead organizations in the church. 3) Seems to me if, as a member, I believe that this is Christ’s church and His gospel, then I don’t tell Him how to organize and run it. After all, I don’t have to be a member. Ginger Barton, Kennewick
