Richland police arrested a 26-year-old man Saturday afternoon after he was found ransacking a home.

A witness saw Ryan A. Bravo of Roosevelt, who was carrying a guitar and appeared intoxicated, enter a neighbor's backyard in the 1500 block of Birch Avenue, according to a news release.

The witness then saw Bravo use a brick to break a rear sliding glass door of the home. The homeowner was out of town.

Police found Bravo going through things in the home while holding a large knife. When confronted by police, he complied and was arrested without incident. Bravo was booked into the Benton County jail under suspicion of first-degree burglary.
