High winds coming to the Mid-Columbia

Tri-City HeraldApril 28, 2013

Winds with gusts close to 50 mph are possible in the Mid-Columbia Monday as a cold front moves through the region.

The National Weather Service’s office in Pendleton issued the wind advisory Sunday. It’s in effect until 5 p.m. Monday for a large area, from Ellensburg through the Yakima Valley and much of southeastern Washington.

Winds are expected to mostly be between 30 mph to 40 mph. They could make driving difficult and cause patchy blowing dust. Minor property damage is also possible.
