Letter: Depiction of Obama with Hitler mustache deeply offensive

April 24, 2013

On April 6, I was astonished to see a picture of our president defaced with a Hitler-style mustache on the sidewalk in front of the main entrance to the Federal Building in Richland.

A man standing rather proudly next to it was soliciting signatures to impeach President Obama.

It's obviously more than a little disrespectful to the leader of the free world, but being two days before Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day), it was deeply offensive. We all have differing opinions of our elected officials, but let's agree to disagree in a civilized manner.
