Kennewick PFD to discuss possible sales tax measure

By The Tri-City HeraldApril 22, 2013

The Kennewick Public Facilities District board is scheduled to discuss a possible sales-tax measure during its meeting Thursday.

The meeting is at 5 p.m. in the board room at Three Rivers Convention Center, 7016 W. Grandridge Blvd., Kennewick. The tentative agenda includes discussing sending a one-tenth of 1 percent sales-tax increase to district voters in November.

The increase would pay for expansion of the convention center -- something officials have said would make it more competitive in the region.
