Softball: Connell's Thompson fires two more no-hitters

Ashley Thompson threw her fifth and sixth consecutive no-hitters and Connell hit five home runs to sweep Kiona-Benton 17-0 and 11-0 in an SCAC East doubleheader in Connell.
Thompson was one walk away in the nightcap from throwing two perfect games. She also hit a grand slam in the second game and was 2-for-3 with five RBIs and a homer in the opener.
Hope Sawyer, Grayson Corrales and Alex Shuster also homered for the Eagles, who are undefeated on the season.

Warden 11-18, Columbia (Burbank) 6-2: Iris Rodriguez blasted a pair of home runs, stole three bases, drove in three runs and scored three runs to lead Warden’s SCAC doubleheader sweep of host Columbia (Burbank).
Rodriguez also struck out 13 batters as Game 1 starting pitcher. Brittany Cotsford went 4-for-6 on the day with a run scored in each game, and Rachel Roberts added a pair of RBIs in Game 2.

Makayla Bishop struck out five in the opener, and was 2-for-3 at the plate for the Indians.
In the second game, Reilly Walker led the Patriots (1-3, 7-3), going 2-for-5 with a triple, while Liz Kelly went 3-for-4 with two runs scored.
