Tri-Cities will be under wind advisory today

The Tri-Cities will be under a wind advisory from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. today.

A southwest wind of 16 to 21 mph will build to 25 to 30 mph by this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. Winds could gust as high as 41 mph.

Winds will decrease to 16 to 21 mph after midnight, according to the weather service.

Saturday also will be breezy with southwest winds up to 21 mph and gusts as high as 32 mph.

The storm system that will bring wind to the Tri-Cities also will bring a 40 percent chance of rain today. Skies should clear for the weekend.
