Kennewick steakhouse reopens, has new name

By Loretto J. Hulse, Tri-City HeraldApril 18, 2013

A Kennewick steakhouse has a new name, 3 C Prime. But you'll recognize the owners, Heather Pillarelli and Marisa Pangelinan, from the previous restaurant at the same location.

They had been working there as servers when the former restaurant, T C Prime Steakhouse, closed in January.

"The owners just walked away," Pangelinan said. "Heather and I saw an opportunity, tracked down how to buy the equipment, signed a new lease with the landlord and opened in February."

The two have plenty of restaurant experience. Pillarelli has been in the business for 35 years and managed a restaurant in Georgia before moving to Washington. Pangelinan has worked in the restaurant business for 20 years and managed a restaurant in Boise before moving to the Tri-Cities.

Their chef, Joshua Young, also worked for the owners of the previous restaurant. They hired him away from Hamley's Steakhouse in Pendleton two years ago.

Their liquor license was approved earlier this month. Now customers can enjoy a mixed drink, beer or wine. The majority of the wines are from Columbia Valley and Washington wineries.

The restaurant is open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., serving sandwiches, homemade soups, salads and some steaks. Prices range from $8-$13.

Dinner hours are from 5 to 9 p.m., serving prime-grade beef steaks from Washington producers and seafoods. Prices range from $17-$36 and includes the side dishes. Salads are extra.

"It seats about 40 and is really focused towards adults. We don't have a children's menu, though they're welcome," Pangelinan said.

The restaurant is at 1408 N. Louisiana St., Suite 100, Kennewick and is open Tuesday-Saturday. Phone: 987-1745.
