Ice Age field trip set in Walla Walla Valley

A field trip through the Walla Walla Valley to explore evidence of Ice Age flooding starts at 8 a.m. April 20, leaving from the parking lot at Columbia Basin College in Pasco.

The daylong guided bus tour costs $70 for adults and $10 for students. The fee includes transportation, lunch, wine tasting for those 21 and older, and snacks. Leading the tour will be Kevin Pogue and Ron Urban from Whitman College and George Last and Bruce Bjornstad with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland.

The tour will visit the Wallula Gap Natural Landmark, various historic sites in the Walla Walla and Touchet valleys and Eureka Flat. For more information, call 509-525-1702.
