Yoke's, Richland agree to traffic light at new store

By The Tri-City HeraldApril 17, 2013

Residents of south Richland will have a new store this fall for their grocery shopping.

Spokane-based Yoke's Fresh Market is building a second Richland store, this one on Keene Road just west of Badger Mountain Park.

For added safety, Yoke's and the city have agreed to install a traffic light for drivers entering and exiting the parking lot at the new store.

A site plan reviewed by the Richland Planning Commission early this year shows a 52,000-square-foot grocery store and 256 parking spaces on a 5.8-acre site near Brantingham Road.

Yoke's opened its first stores in Pasco and Kennewick in 2003 and added a third in West Richland in 2005.
