Tri-City high school students to showcase fashions Thursday

TRI-CITY HERALDApril 17, 2013

Students from six Tri-City high schools will be participating in a low-budget version of the TV show Project Runway on Thursday.

The show is an opportunity for students to showcase their creativity and compete for cash prizes in three categories: Cardboard Creation, Donation Box and Little Black Dress.

Everything used to create the outfits -- which will be modeled Thursday -- must be from Goodwill Industries.

DECA and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America students from Kennewick, Hanford, Pasco, Chiawana, Southridge and Columbia (Burbank) high schools will be competing in the annual Project Goodwill Fashion Show.

The free fashion show begins at 6 p.m. and will be at the Pasco Red Lion Hotel in Pasco.
