By the Herald staffApril 13, 2013

Richland Lutheran Church is holding a Renovar conference April 20.

The Renovar organization was started 25 years ago by Richard Foster, author of Celebration of Discipline. The book and organization encourages Christians to use the spiritual practices of Jesus and the historical church as a means of becoming more Christlike. Renovar is interdenominational with more than 10 denominations represented by their speakers.

The speakers for the Tri-City conference will be Kai Nilsen, a Lutheran pastor and Siang Yang Tan, a psychology professor at Fuller Theological Seminary and a senior pastor at a California church.

The all-day conference begins at 9 a.m. at 901 Van Giesen St., Richland.

Cost is $40 per person, $65 per couple or $75 per family.
