CBC softball swept by Treasure Valley

April 12, 2013

Treasure Valley 8-9, Columbia Basin 7-7: Maddie Chambers homered three times and drove in five runs as the Hawks found their bats but couldn’t come up with a win in an NWAACC East twinbill Friday in Ontario.

Chambers homered twice in the opener and Ashlen Ayres went deep once, but CBC (16-12, 9-7 East) never was able to climb all the way out of an early hole.

The two teams went to extra innings in the second game, but Jarica Martarano’s two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth secured the sweep for the Chukars (12-10, 10-6).
