Applications are due May 10 for the next Leadership Tri-Cities class. Interested candidates are invited to attend an open house informational meeting at 6 p.m. April 11 at the Courtyard Inn by Marriot hotel at 480 Columbia Point Drive in Richland.

Leadership Tri-Cities is a nonprofit, educational program whose graduates are challenged to be catalysts for positive change in the community.

Applications can be downloaded at and are also available at the Tri-Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau, TRIDEC, and regional chamber offices.

One class is chosen each year, with its members intentionally selected to form a diverse group of individuals with a broad spectrum of interests and backgrounds.

The Class XIX program year is August 2013 through June 2014. The curriculum includes in-depth sessions on Agriculture, Education, Economic Development, Human Needs and Services, Medical and Health Services, Local and State Government, Law Enforcement and the Justice System, Media and the Arts, and the Hanford Site.
