Applications due for Camp KGH for kids with Type 1 diabetes

Registration is open for Camp KGH, a summer day camp put on by Kennewick General Hospital’s foundation and diabetes education department for children with Type 1 diabetes.

Applications are due by April 30 and are available at

The camp is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. July 9-11.

There are slots for 50 kids ages 7 to 14.

Activities will include arts and crafts, team building, swimming and rock wall climbing. Educational sessions and speakers also are planned, and quarterly follow-up activities will encourage proactive diabetes management, a news release said.
