Walla Walla's Whitman College will have a TEDx conference event late this month and tickets go on sale Sunday.

TEDx is a series of independently organized and community-based conferences modeled on the TEDTalks format, according to a release from the college.

Community members and several Whitman students will give the series of talks at TEDxWhitmanCollege, ranging from herpetology to aquaponics, to an audience of no more than 100 people.

Tickets will be $25 each and will be sold online only at www.tedxwhitmancollege.com/tickets. There will also be a limited number of free tickets for people watching a live stream of the talks.
