Areva's nuclear fuel fabrication plant in Richland completed its annual Nuclear Regulatory Commission review with no areas identified for improvement for the sixth consecutive year.

Areva described its record as "spotless" in the latest review.

Performance was evaluated for 2012 in safety operations, radiological controls, facility support and other areas.

"We are pleased with the positive outcome of this period's important regulatory review with no areas cited as needing improvement," said Ron Land, senior vice president of Areva's Fuel Business Unit.
