Grant County commissioners seek public comments on drop box system

TRI-CITY HERALDApril 7, 2013

The Grant County Board of Commissioners is hearing public comments on the phasing out of the county drop box system.

The drop boxes are facilities throughout the county where citizens can dump waste. The waste is then collected by the county and disposed of elsewhere.

The recommendation to phase out the system was given by the Grant County Solid Waste Advisory Committee in response to the system's inability to be self-sustaining.

The meeting will be from 4 to 5 p.m. April 16 at the county courthouse, 35 C St. NW, Ephrata.

Tri-City Herald is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
