Walla Walla CC softball splits with Spokane

Kendra Boehning went 3-for-4, including a walk-off solo home run with one out in the bottom of the eighth to give Columbia Basin College a 4-3 win in Game 2 Saturday, helping the Hawks salvage an NWAACC East split with Big Bend in Pasco.

Kelsey Randich added a two-run home run for CBC in the bottom of the sixth of the nightcap.

Boehning also went 2-for-3 with a stolen base in CBC's 6-0 Game 1 loss.

Spokane 11, Walla Walla 6: Kelsey Locke had a big game for the Warriors, going 4-for-4 with a double, two homers and driving in four runs to force a split in the NWAACC East twinbill.

Locke also pitched all five innings. Kendyl Hamilton doubled and drove in three runs, and Kate Hawk (Connell) was 3-for-3.

Former Richland ace Lindsey Walchli went the distance in the opener for Spokane and also was 2-for-3 at the plate and drove in a run.
