Carnival for the Troops planned April 6-7 at mall

The Guardians of Freedom Project will hold its annual Carnival for the Troops fundraising event April 6-7 in the parking lot at Columbia Center mall.

Hours are from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. April 6 and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 7.

There will be a free concert starting at 5 p.m. April 6 featuring the music of Tri-City rock band Fallout.

There is no admission fee to the carnival, but armbands cost $25 for unlimited rides, $15 with military identification. Individual ride tickets are $3.50 each or 10 for $32.

A portion of the proceeds goes to the Guardians of Freedom Project, which supplies clothing and daily essentials for the military serving in Afghanistan.
