AARP offering driver safety classes, seminar

AARP is offering three driver safety classes this month and a seminar on how to talk to an aging person about it being time to stop driving.

The cost for the safety classes is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members.

Participants will qualify for insurance rate reductions. The class schedule is:

-- 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 16-17 at the Pasco Senior Center, 1315 N. Seventh Ave., Pasco. To enroll, call 545-3459.

-- 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 17-18 at the Richland Community Center, 500 Amon Park Drive, Richland. To enroll, call 942-7529.

-- 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 18-19 at the Kennewick Senior Center, 500 S. Auburn, Kennewick. To enroll, call 585-4303.

AARP is also offering a "We Need to Talk" seminar from 6 to 8 p.m. April 16 at the Pasco Senior Center. The session will focus on how to talk to an aging family member of friend about when it's time to stop driving.
