300 Tri-Citians helped by Second Harvest mobile food bank

April 3, 2013

— About 300 Tri-City families were helped Wednesday morning at a food giveaway at Second Harvest’s Mobile Food Bank outside the Boys & Girls Club of Benton and Franklin Counties in Pasco.

Second Harvest was showing off its new semi-truck that was bought with a $110,000 grant from the Walmart Foundation.

The truck will help the agency distribute more food to those in need in the community, said Second Harvest officials.
