Letter: Some of us have to live in the real world

April 2, 2013

I read, with dismay, the letters in this paper who call the people that defend our Second Amendment "gun nuts" or "right-wing extremist." Isn't it ironic those same people use their First Amendment right to show everyone how ignorant they are when it comes to history?

I wish I lived in your world of puppy dogs, rainbows and magic mushrooms. A great philosopher, aka comedian named Ron White, once said, "You can't fix stupid." It's time to put down the pipe and pick up a history book. You might also want to read the Constitution, even though it was written by Second Amendment gun nuts and right-wing extremists.
