Dayton man injured after colliding with deer

A Dayton man was transported to the hospital Sunday morning after he hit a deer while riding his motorcycle on State Route 261.

Clark L. Simpfenderfer, 47, hit the deer while it crossed the highway around 7:15 a.m., according to a Washington State Patrol release. Simpfenderfer was wearing a helmet and was transported to Dayton General Hospital by ambulance.

No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
