Pasco officials warn about RV registration scam

Tri-City HeraldMarch 29, 2013

— Pasco officials are warning residents that fliers telling them they have to register boats or recreational vehicles with the "Broadmoor Division Chamber of Commerce" are false.

The fliers tell residents that because of overcrowding on city streets residents have to park their boats or RVs on their lawns and fill out a registration packet from the Pasco Chamber of Commerce and bring the packet to Liberty Park by 7 p.m. Monday

But the city and chamber say it isn't so.

"This flier is not from the city of Pasco or the Chamber of Commerce," a news release said. "Given the 'registration deadline' of April 1, this may be a poor attempt at April Fool's Day humor."
