UPDATE: Kennewick man stabbed in the back

Tri-City HeraldMarch 28, 2013

A 43-year-old Kennewick man was hospitalized late Wednesday when he was stabbed several times in the back.

Kennewick police found Beman F. Perkins, 43, wounded on the 100 block of South Zinser Street after being called about 11:25 p.m.

Officers believe Perkins was arguing with an acquaintance, Bradley Jones, 25, when things escalated. The men were fighting when Jones pulled out a knife and stabbed Perkins several times, said a police news release.

Jones ran away but was later found by police walking in the area. He was taken to the Benton County jail.

Perkins was taken to Kennewick General Hospital and listed in stable condition, said police.

The incident is not gang related, said police.
