Richland High teacher named to hall of fame

A Richland High School teacher was honored recently for his work with leadership students.

Jim Qualheim was inducted into the Hall of Fame for the Washington Activity Coordinators Association, or WACA, according to a release.

Qualheim, who is also Richland High's activities director, has helped students in his leadership class organize numerous projects such as blood and food drives, charity fundraisers and book and clothing collections.

Qualheim has also served on the WACA board of directors and has been named Washington State High School Adviser of the year in the past.
