March 25, 2013

Pasco cousins Neydeen and Jalayne Martinez combined to shoot a 2-under-par 70 to post the top score at the Chiawana Chapmans Girls Golf Invite on Monday at Columbia Point Golf Course.

The Martinezes finished two strokes ahead of Wenatchee’s Gabe Jones and Carly Bozett to lead the Bulldogs to second place in the team standings with a 170, the combination of the team’s top two duos.

Wenatchee won easily with a 157.

The mixed format started with chapman (alternate) play for the first nine holes, then switched to a best-ball scrambler for the back nine.
