Kennewick woman remains hospitalized in Seattle

A 36-year-old Kennewick woman remained in serious condition Monday at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after she crashed into a sign on Highway 397 in Kennewick.

The Washington State Patrol reported that Elysha J. Pleasant lost control of her 2000 Chevrolet Malibu just past noon Sunday, crossed the southbound lanes of the highway and hit a sign near Columbia Drive in Kennewick.

She was taken by ambulance to Kennewick General Hospital and later sent to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with undisclosed injuries.

The accident remains under investigation, said the WSP.
