Early Friday an 18-year-old Othello man was shot in the leg during a drive-by shooting, Adams County Sheriff Doug Barger said.

Barger said Randy H. Godinez was shot in his lower right leg as he and another person were inside a house at 769. S. McKinney Rd. One of the three shots fired hit Godinez and he was transported by an ambulance to Othello Community Hospital.

Barger said the wound was “relatively minor” and no one else at the house was injured.

Police did not release the make or model of the suspect vehicle.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information on the shooting to call 509-488-2061.

Kennewick Police Chief Ken Hohenberg said police do not believe the Othello shooting is related to a homicide that occurred in Kennewick Friday morning.
