Easter egg hunts around the Mid-Columbia

-- The art of egg dyeing workshop for kids ages 3 to 12 is from 4 to 5 p.m. March 28 in the craft room at the Pasco Senior Center, 1315 N. Seventh Ave., Pasco. Cost is $5 for Pasco residents and $7 for nonresidents. Deadline to register is March 26.

-- West Richland will hold its annual Easter egg hunt starting at 10 a.m. March 30 at the Bombing Range Sports Complex on Bombing Range Road.

The event is free and open to kids ages 12 and younger. Bring Easter baskets. The hunt happens rain or shine.

-- The Walla Walla Exchange Club's annual children's Easter egg hunt starts at 9 a.m. March 30 at Pioneer Park in Walla Walla.

The hunt has been a holiday staple for generations of kids since 1959. Besides the egg hunt, there will be special prizes, including three bicycles, one in each category, which are ages 1 to 3, ages 4 to 6 and ages 7 to 10.

-- Richland will sponsor a Morning with Mr. Bunny event from 9:30 to 11 a.m. March 30 at the Richland Community Center, 500 Amon Park Drive.

There will be an egg hunt for kids 10 and younger, crafts, games and prizes and a pancake breakfast. Cost is $5.50 for Richland residents and $6.75 for nonresidents for all activities and the breakfast. Breakfast only is $3.75.

-- The Umatilla Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center will hold an Easter egg hunt starting at 10 a.m. March 30 at West Park at McNary Lock and Dam.

The hunt is open to kids up to age 10. There will also be two door prizes of an Easter basket filled with goodies awarded at the event.

Age groups for the hunts will be in three categories: newborn to age 3, ages 4 to 6 and ages 8 to 10. For more information, call 541-922-4825.

-- The Kennewick First Christian Church Easter egg hunt starts at 10 a.m. March 30 on the church grounds, 1921 S. Olympia St. The hunt is open to children from preschool to fifth grade. Participants should bring a basket or sack. There is no admission fee.

-- The Arc of Tri-Cities egg hunt is March 30 at Columbia Point Park in Richland. Start times for the hunts are 10:30 a.m. for ages 1 to 3, 10:40 a.m. for ages 4 to 7 and 10:50 a.m. for ages 8 to 12. The event is open to all children with intellectual developmental disabilities and their siblings. There is no participation fee. Reservations are encouraged. Call 783-1131, ext. 0.

-- Easter Extravaganza is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 30 at the Word of Faith Center, 1350 S. Rainier St., Kennewick. There is no cost, and the hunt is open to kids up to age 12. There will be free refreshments, bouncy houses, music and prizes for children and families. For more information, call 582-5608.

-- King of Kings Lutheran Church's annual Easter for Kids event starts at 10 a.m. March 30 on the church grounds, corner of Fifth Avenue and Edison Street in Kennewick.

-- Northwest United Protestant Church, 1312 Sacramento Blvd., Richland, will hold an Easter egg hunt starting at 11 a.m. March 31 on the church grounds. Entrance to the church is on Wright Avenue. The event is free, and the hunt is open to kids up to fifth grade.
