Kennewick — Mylar balloons that became tangled in a substation caused a power outage for less than an hour late Thursday morning in Kennewick.
Power has been restored to about 2,500 customers, said Benton PUD spokeswoman Karen Miller.
This is not the first time the foil balloons have caused problems, she said.
The outage was mostly in the Clearwater Avenue area between Union Street and Highway 395.
Benton PUD customers should call 888-582-2176 to report outages.
