— A Level 3 sex offender convicted of multiple sex crimes and multiple non-sex related crimes recently moved to 2800 block of W. 46th Ave., in Kennewick, according to Kennewick police.

Damon Cedric Hendricks, 30, who was recently released from prison in Oregon, was convicted of attempted third-degree sexual abuse and attempted second-degree sodomy in Umatilla County in 2011, Officer Allan Knox said. Hendricks was also convicted of third-degree sexual abuse in 2006.

Knox said Hendricks is on federal probation after failing to register as a sex offender in Oregon in 2008.

Kennewick police hold a special meeting the second Wednesday of every month at the Kennewick police station on 211 W. 6th Ave., to provide further information on sex offenders.

If citizens are unable to attend the meetings but still have questions or concerns they can contact Knox at 509-582-1352.
