Chiawana 2, Southridge 0: Oswaldo Berumen broke a scoreless tie in the 35th minute, knocking home a corner kick by Anibal Pacheco as the Riverhawks held on for an MCC road victory Tuesday.

“Our defense is starting to keep things close, but they finished well on that corner kick,” Suns coach Johnny Trevino said. “We battled and had our chances, but their goalkeeper came up with some decent saves.”

Richland 4, Kamiakin 1: Austin Herrick and Ali Kamara each had two goals to lead the Bombers to a home victory over the Braves.

Hanford 1, Walla Walla 0: Will Eldred banged a header into the sidenetting off a free kick by Jacob Bogen in the 59th minute, accounting for the only goal of the match in the Falcons’ MCC home win over the Blue Devils.

“It was a fun game to watch, for sure. Walla Walla has a lot of talent,” Hanford coach Mike Pardini said. “We had quite a few opportunities we didn’t connect on, but we got the one that counted.”

Alan Caro made four saves for the Warriors to record the shutout.
