Tri-Cities Prep's Science Olympiad team is heading to the state tournament after winning a regional event for the third year in a row.

The regional event was at Spokane Community College, and Pasco's Tri-Cities Prep beat nine other teams to take the top spot.

Science Olympiad has 23 events, and students from each team are assigned different events.

Teams can only have 15 members with three alternates.
