Buckingham wins girls singles at Lewiston Invite

Kennewick senior Stephanie Buckingham won the girls singles event at the Lewiston Invite on Saturday in Lewiston, Idaho, going 6-0 over two days.

She won the final on a 10-5 tiebreaker after splitting the first two sets 6-4, 2-6. It was the first time she dropped a set all weekend.

Two more Lions players finished second at No. 3 singles in the consolation rounds. Jared Bolt on the boys side and Harnoor Mahl for the girls.
