When I see the riverfront, I see massive potential. The right activities would bring tourist revenue to the Tri-Cities.

I see a riverfront that provides a place where you can play, explore, dine and stay. Where Howard Amen Park is today, I see cruise ship passengers going to restaurants and shops while they walk down a riverfront walkway. This walkway would include shops where passengers can find wine from local wineries. The riverfront walk continues through the Yakima River Delta, where I see paths, and observation stands where bird watchers flock from all around the country to snap pictures of different birds, such as eagles or hawks. The nature trail ends at The Hanford Reach Center, where you can catch excursions up the river, and celebrate the natural, scientific and cultural history of Eastern Washington through programs and exhibitions that encourage curiosity and inquiry. The remainder of Columbia Park will consist of an outdoor music venue and nature trails, a lot like Stanly Park in Vancouver, British Columbia.

If the Tri-Cities can do half of these ideas, I see a bright future for our cities.
