Softball: Pasco sweeps Sunnyside in doubleheader

Pasco 12-11, Sunnyside 2-3: Annabel Perez went 5-for-8 on the day with seven stolen bases, lifting the Bulldogs to a nonleague doubleheader sweep over the Grizzlies on Friday in Pasco.

The Bulldogs got off to a fast start in a 12-2 Game 1 win, stealing 17 bases. “We’re working on small ball. That’s all we’ll have this year,” Pasco coach Kim Palmer said.

In Game 2, Brittany Cruz and Shelby Huston combined for five hits and four RBIs, with each hitting a home run off Sunnyside pitcher Monique Gil.
