Lacrosse: Southridge's Ostler earns accolade

March 15, 2013

Southridge senior Vaughn Ostler, who plays for Richland, on Thursday was named the Boys Division II defensive player of the week.

Ostler netted a goal and 14 ground balls in Richland’s season-opening 16-4 win over Sandpoint, Idaho, on Sunday. Zach Mabry scored three goals and had two assists in the game as nine different players found the net.

Ostler is among players from five local high schools that play for Richland. He is a returning all-conference selection from last season.
