A Richland High School teacher has been named the top DECA adviser in the state.
Stephanie Schirm, a marketing teacher at the school, was named 2013 Advisor of the Year by Washington State DECA, which is an international organization for marketing students, according to a release.
The Richland School District said Richland Highs DECA chapter has accomplished a lot under Schirms guidance and her students are highly regarded for their commitment to the community.
